There are two things that remain with me as I get older, and those two things are my morning routine and my nighty routine.
I believe that like praying, a family that eat together stay healthy together. So my nightly routine begins with our family meal. Dinnertime is a wonderful setting for conversation and laughter, and everyday I look forward to relish this very special family commune.
Immediately after dinner, we then gather in our family room to continue our discussion started over dinner – catch up on our daily happenings, then go over our next day obligations; a grand convergent of our day that usually ends in a positive, accomplished mode for everyone.
It’s now time for my gorgeous sunset watching over the horizon with another favorite cup of my teas. Oh such a beautiful view! (I’m in New York, so in the winter time, my sunset watching will precede our dinnertime, as the sun sets earlier in the winter.)
After my sunset watching I opt to get clean and comfortable. So I’ll shower first, then immerse myself in one of my favorite bubble baths with a glass of my finest wine (usually a Dom Pérignon Rosé, Moët & Chandon Rosé, or Domaine Pierre Morey Chardonnay) Oh, what would I do without wine 🍷
After my soothing bath and relaxation, I like to retreat somewhere quiet and browse my favorite social media platforms. Finishing up my day by reading your feedback on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram makes me feel very humbled and blessed.
And then it’s time to get comfy in my bed, and I usually do this with one of my favorite books. I do read extensively, so there is a wide variety in my library, and at nights I’ll read something soothing and calming like a Mary Oliver Dream Work or a Jandy Nelson The Sky is Everywhere & I’ll Give You the Sun.
After reading, I then pray, meditate, and all I can hear is the sound of nothingness as I drift off to my peaceful, sometimes adventurous place in dreamland.

4) Purification, Relaxation with glass of fine wine
5) Read, Cuddle with book in bed
6) Pray, Meditate
7) Off to Dreamland. The most peaceful eight hours anyone could ever have, is now mine.
